Relax & Rejuvenate with Restorative Yoga & Reiki Healing

WHAT IS RESTORATIVE YOGA?  Restorative yoga is a practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. During the long holds of restorative yoga, your muscles will be allowed to relax deeply. The use of props, like blocks, bolsters, and blankets, rather than your muscles, are used to support your body.  The class is limited to a few restorative poses, which include light twists, seated forward folds, and gentle backbends that are sequenced and held for extended periods of time.   Restorative yoga can be an excellent way to relieve stress while enjoying long, meditative stretches.  Restorative classes are very calming, making them a good complement to more active practices and an excellent antidote to the daily challenges of life.

WHAT IS REIKI HEALING?  Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.  A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.  Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement.
